Oklahoma, Texas Wildfires Destroy Dozens of Homes

Hundreds of residents in Texas and Oklahoma are fleeing their homes to safer grounds.

Due to the heat, dry air, and windy conditions this fire broke out Tuesday in Oklahoma, consuming more than 1,500 acres of heavily wooded section of the city and has found its way to Texas.

More than 25 homes have been destroyed through out the neighboring states due these wild fires. Rescue efforts have been made by several firefighters with the help from air tankers and helicopters to put this blaze under control and out.

At least 25 homes in the resort community of Possum Kingdom (about 75 miles west of Forth Worth) have been burned from these fast moving blaze.
